Indemnity Posted April 21, 2004 Report Share Posted April 21, 2004 Ice9 is all games, not just half-life mods, and I have been very happy there until recently. Again, I'm not going to talk trash about ice9 because I have worked hard on it and I still believe it's a good place, just not for me anymore. It's more of a place for younger people or people who aren't serious about anything. That is the direction that it has taken, and not enough people mind that. Well, I turned in my resignation at ice9 about 2 weeks ago now. It created a big "to-do" and basically, when people found out why, it helped them to see some issues. In a nutshell, there has been a lot of crap hitting the fan at ice9 and we are so much the better for it. The servers/forums have been cleaned up and we are constantly trying to keep immature people from ruining all the fun with bigoted/racist remarks and attention grabbing comments. Unfortunately, there has been some bans and people quitting over the changes, but like I said, we are the better for it. I'm sticking by ice9; I have put a lot of time and energy into it and it's finally getting back on track again. I hope you guys can come by the server every now and then, [66.150.164.196:27015] we usually have a full house. Yeah, it is nice that things are turning around, it certainly makes everything feel reenforced and stronger again. Just to clairfy, we aren't actually a clan. We have clans within ice9, a couple actually. One UT2k4 clan, one NS clan, and two CS clans. I co-lead the UT2k4 clan, we have 8 members (onslaught, assault, and CTF mainly).
