I just read this, and while i've always known it was possible ( i first heard abotu the police using cell phone mic's even when the phones are off back in my teens ) this story really demonstrates how this can be taken to the extreme. These hacks are all old news technologically speaking, but it still feels like some sorta crazy sci-fi cyberpunk shit when you read it.. Now imagine being able to download a tool suite from the internet that lets you do this to anyone, on any carrier, as long as you know a few details about them. fuuuck !
