  1. Well, if you decide to try a match in 1.6 let me know. I can't run sourse. Probably a good thing... I'd hate to embarrass myself, I have had some horrible scores this week! http://www.fnfclan.com/uploads/uploads/emoticons/default_biggrin.png Go Go Old Timers! http://www.fnfclan.com/uploads/uploads/emoticons/default_mf_w00t2.gif
  2. My machine has celebrated 4 birthdays, it isn't gonna run anything source related at above 6 FPS.
  3. I've actually started playing regularly again... 2-3 hrs a night for the last week or so..... I've had my ass handed to me so many times I put my back out picking it up. Just need to get a bipod mounted on my walker and I'll be ready! "NOW WHAT'S THAT YOUR SAYING SUNNY? SPEAK UP! AN TELL THE NURSE IT'S POTTY BREAK TIME AGAIN!"
  4. As a proud owner of my one and only console ever.... a Super Nintendo (Still working and used!) I think I will be giving it a miss http://www.fnfclan.com/uploads/uploads/emoticons/default_biggrin.png
  5. Been using ICQ for a LOOOng time. Only installed MSN because of all you bastards that stopped using ICQ.
  6. Went for a short drive to a local lake on Sunday and enjoyed some California Spring Sunshine.... http://www.calisnaps.com/albums/userpics/10001/storm%20coming.jpg This shot is straight from the camera apart from resizing.... It was really yucky by the time I was driving back.

  8. Let me clarify... With a camera. Much easier with a .45 longslide.
  9. The Digital SLR's are every bit as fast as a film camera, in fact in drive mode it's probably faster for short bursts. I just don't feel comfortable shooting people.
  10. If you can take good people pictues your worlds ahead of me, I hate taking people pictures. For landscapes you generally want to try and balance 3 things.... you need a foreground subject, some middle distance interest and then a backdrop.... for closer work you can get away with just a main point of interest and a decent backdrop, or foreground. Always make sure the horizon is level. Meter to properly expose the land, but don't overexpose the sky. Skies with clouds in them make for much more interest than a plain blue sky. Try to balance pictures, have something of interest on both sides of the frame, and if you can't, make sure the item that does appear fits into a line 1/3rd in and 1/3rd up or down from the edge. (much like my picture above) Landscapes are best taken in early morning or late afternoon light, harsh midday sun is both hard to work with and makes images very hard and too much contrast.
  11. It's a 10!!! I entered teh above photo (or one very similar) into last nights local camera club competition and scored my first ever 10, maximum points. http://www.fnfclan.com/uploads/uploads/emoticons/default_biggrin.png
  12. Just entered my 3rd Competition today, got my best scores yet with 4 merits... This picture got the best score. http://www.calisnaps.com/albums/userpics/10001/normal_shaver%20lake%2001%20.jpg
  13. A Few of the animal ones and Yosemite ones in the slide shows are 35mm film, all the singles are Digital, either my old point and shoot or my new Digital SLR.
  14. Couple of Slide shows.... one better than the other. http://www.calisnaps.com/wild/ http://www.calisnaps.com/yosemite/
  15. As they are a guest in my home I would suggest they try it straight... if they insist on destoying a very fine belt of whiskey, I would give them whatever they wanted to put in it..... The next time they came over for a drink, I would poor myself a fine scottish beverage, and they would get a belt of whatever $10 crap I bought for marinating the BBQ with.
  16. Thanks All. Those have all been taken in the last 4 weeks or so. There are larger version on my site.

    Aerosmith.

It was my break up song, I played it repeatedly when my 9 year relationship hit the shitter. http://www.fnfclan.com/uploads/uploads/emoticons/default_buttrock.gif

    Aerosmith.

Permanent Vacation is a pretty solid Album, that was there come back album after a long hiatus. From the earlier songs sweet emotion and toys in the attic are pretty good, if a little slower than the new stuff. Pump is a little mediocre as their albums go, Eat the Rich isn't bad. The highlight of their shows for me was Steven Tyler doing back flips off the drum riser. Honkin' on Hobo isn't bad, a collection of bluesy cover versions. Saw them play for the first time in 1986 http://www.fnfclan.com/uploads/uploads/emoticons/default_biggrin.png Personal Favorite: Angel
  21. As happy as i get.http://www.fnfclan.com/uploads/uploads/post-86-1105762169_thumb.jpg
  22. While a good camera certainly helps, you also need an understanding of composition, shot planning and lots of slices of luck helps http://www.fnfclan.com/uploads/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.png My Digital SLR setup has cost around $1600 so far and there are some great pictures being taken on the same setup. OF course I am planning on springing another $1600 for a single long lens.
  23. That's a 90 minute drive from here, it doesn't snow down here in the Valley.
  24. Well, got board of my V6 Accord... so I traded it for an 8 seater SUV... just what I need when there is only 2 of us http://www.fnfclan.com/uploads/uploads/emoticons/default_biggrin.png V6, AWD, Really shitty gas mileage (compared to the accord at least). I took it for a spin in hte snow up at Kings Canyon National Park. http://www.fnfclan.com/uploads/uploads/post-86-1104937377_thumb.jpg
  25. If only one of you can play at once then it is a clientport issue.
